In Jamie’s Own Words

Hi Everybody and I do mean EVERYBODY,

This my first “OFFICIAL” blog. I’m not sure what a blog is, why I’m referring to it as “official,” or why I’m using quotation marks. My 65th birthday is Monday the 16th of May. I’m officially old, at least according to the government. I suppose I’m feeling a little weathered. Many of you know I had a stroke nearly 3 years ago. I’m doing OK, but I surely could have done without it. Luckily I’m right handed and have perfect close-up vision, so I’m still able to draw and paint. Everyone thinks I’m being particularly prolific, but again luckily, I have many unfinished paintings that I’m finally getting around to finishing. Most are 95-99% done — so lucky for me, and I hope for you too. I’m releasing 3 guitars this week that have been hanging on my studio wall for at least 10 years. They will be available on my web site this week. The originals are large oil paintings of Jamie Hayes style guitars. They’re approximately 5 feet X 2 feet. I hope you like them. I have many stories to tell, so stay tuned. I’ll do my best to blog regularly. I’m a creature of habit, so I’ll try to make blogging a part of my daily routine.
