“Bringing Back New Orleans” speaks to the resilience of the New Orleans spirit. It was Jamie’s design for Mardi Gras 2006, the first Mardi Gras after Hurricane Katrina. Jamie was still displaced in California at the time, but, with encouragement from his family, decided to still do a Mardi Gras poster. Jamie was one of the few artists to do a Mardi Gras poster in 2006. Few people realize that 2006 was the 150th Anniversary of Mardi Gras being celebrated in New Orleans. The original of “Bringing Back New Orleans” was done in Prismacolor pencils and took 6 weeks for Jamie to complete. This limited edition print is signed and numbered by Jamie. Measures 16″ x 20″.
